On May 18, 2017 the technical regulation on safety of chemical products was officially published following the Decision of the Eurasian Commission No. 19.
The technical regulation on safety of chemical products was adopted on March 3, 2017 and was given the name of ТR ЕАEU 041/2017. The TR comes into force on June 2, 2021.
TR EAEU 041/2017 contains the mandatory requirements for safety of chemical products, conformity assessment schemes, products’ identification and labelling.
Before being put on the market of the Eurasian Union chemical products need to undergo the procedure of conformity assessment and a Certificate of State Registration has to be obtained. Such Certificate of State Registration can be informative or issued in the form of a permit.
The Certificate of State Registration is required in the following cases:
- In case chemical products are imported on the territory of the Eurasian Union for the first time;
- For chemical products containing substances or blends of limited use.
Informative Certificate of State Registration has no validity period, however, the mandatory certificate can be issued for the validity of 5 years.
