On August 11, 2016 the board members of the Eurasian Economic Commission adopted the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union on requirements for liquefied gas used as fuel.
This regulation summarizes the requirements for liquefied gas, which is implemented as fuel in the following spheres:
- public and domestic consumption
- industrial use
- implementing as automobile fuel
Before putting the liquefied gas into circulation on the territory of the Eurasian Union it is necessary to register a Declaration of Conformity for it. A unified sign of products circulating on the market of the State members of the Eurasian Union will also have to be included into the quality passport.
It is important to mention that the date of coming into effect for the new Technical Regulation has been postponed to January 01, 2018 instead of July 01, 2017, as it was mentioned earlier.
Draft standards that contain requirements and testing methods of the products concerned have also been elaborated in order to enable the execution of the norms of the new Technical Regulation.
